I could list out the range of experience I have in digital content editing or broadcast script production, I could reiterate what you will see on my resume. But none of the words I help put together on television or blogs or the news will matter if they’re not going toward the right cause. I work toward helping communities in need, using language as a point of accessibility. I bring the essential skills to demand for fair messaging. I’ve used my fact-checking and copy editing skills as a portal of access for my readers. Knowing one’s own history, accurately, is a source of significant power.
I’m skilled in project management, coordinating teams, and content strategy. I’m a writer with a demonstrated history of working in the media and news industry. A Rutgers University alumna, I completed a B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies, as well as a B.S. in Business Analytics and Information Technology in 2020.
The combination of these two skill-heavy majors gives me the advantage of applying an analytical mindset into the journalism field, where I’ve learned different tools such as InDesign, iNews, MediaCentral, and more.
